  I disagree with the prior comment. This restaurant is in a very small Virginia town with very few options outside of restaurant chains or pizza type places. It is in an historic bank building and the interior renovations they did were very well done. You feel as though you are in an moderately upscale restaurant/bar. Tastefully decorated, just the right size, very courteous and attentive staff and the menu was just right with items that were unique and items that would be expected. They also had Founders Breakfast Stout on tap...a wonderful beer and I was very surprised to see this, but pleasantly so. We do not live in Tazewell but have an elderly parent who does and we visit 12 times a year and will ALWAYS eat at this restaurant time permitting.

  Nice atmosphere. I had a filet. Filet was priced same as most and was exceptional. Cooked perfectly to medium. Forgot to mention that the filet was ten or twelve ounces. Monster steak. I opted out of blue cheese but is typically served on steak. Beer and steak moderate upscale. Will return when in the area.
